Full Text search in SQL Server.

People understand this feature has been mentioned in MSDN article , but this just gives a gist of most important observations / excerpts out from there :

Feature introduced in SQL server 2008 and then propagated to 2008R2,2012 , and 2014.

Full Text index to be maintained on the table before a FULL TEXT query can be applied.

When Full text is heard , four key terms come into mind :

full-text predicates (CONTAINS and FREETEXT) and functions (CONTAINSTABLE and FREETEXTTABLE

Key differences between Full Text and LIKE. Worth of them like Full Text is faster than LIKE.
